Gençlerin Kariyer Gelişiminde E-Mentorluk Sürecinin Etkisi

Abstract

uygulamalı elektronik olarak veya kıdemli ve daha az deneyimli bireyler arasında bir ilişki kurmak için kişisel, faydalı, spesifik, senkronize, bütünsel, erişilebilir ve uzun süreli mentorluk desteği sağlayan bir yaklaşım olarak tanımlanabilir. E-mentorluk ile ilgili çalışmalar nispeten yeni ve az olmasına rağmen, araştırmalar bunun etkili bir mentorluk yöntemi olduğunu göstermektedir. Çalışmanın amacı, bu sürecin e-mentorluk programlarına katılan üniversite öğrencilerinin meslek seçimi ve kariyer gelişimlerine etkisini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırma örneklemi, bir sivil toplum kuruluşu tarafından kurulan bir e-mentorluk platformu aracılığıyla destek alan gençlerden (14-30 yaş arası) oluşmaktadır. Bulgular, e-mentorluğun bu sürece katılan gençlerin kariyer gelişimini desteklediğini göstermektedir. Mentorlar, yakın ve samimi iletişim tarzları ve deneyimleri ile “öğretmen” rollerinde etkilidirler. Mentorlar, katılımcılara kariyer seçimlerinde yol gösterici bir tavır sergiler ve gençlerin kafasındaki soruları yanıtlamaya çalışarak belirsizliğin giderilmesine yardımcı olur.
