¿Están concentradas las exportaciones de México? Un análisis comparativo con las exportaciones de Canadá

Abstract

La diversificación es fundamental para el desarrollo económico. Las economías industrializadas maduras suelen producir una amplia gama de bienes y servicios; los países en desarrollo, en cambio, tienen presencia solo en un número limitado de actividades económicas. En concordancia con eso, sus exportaciones se encuentran concentradas en unos cuantos productos. Así que una manifestación de la diversificación de su estructura productiva es la diversificación de las exportaciones. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar las exportaciones de México y Canadá, revisar algunos de los indicadores de concentración de las exportaciones para determinar si se ha avanzado, o no en la diversificación de las exportaciones y con base en estos índices, realizar un análisis comparativo con las exportaciones canadienses.
