L'Alg�rie en qu�te d'un nouvel avenir (3�me partie)

Abstract

Apr�s avoir rappel� dans une premi�re partie (Ipag Letter n�4) le mod�le de d�veloppement suivi par l'Alg�rie apr�s son ind�pendance, puis dans une deuxi�me partie (Ipag Letter n�5) les difficult�s auxquelles l'Alg�rie est confront�e, nous analysons ici les tensions qui parcourent la soci�t� alg�rienne. A la fin des ann�es 1980, l'Alg�rie a �t� confront�e � l'islamisme radical qui avait r�ussi en partie l'islamisation par le bas de la soci�t� civile et qui �tait porteur de revendications identitaires biens ancr�es dans la population. Paradoxale-ment cette situation a conduit le FNL � un renoncement aux objectifs r�volutionnaires et aux options socialistes (sans pour autant d�boucher sur un mod�le et des priorit�s clairement �tablis). La population a subi le contrecoup de pr�s de dix ann�es de guerre civile. La stabilit� politique actuelle du pays cache en fait un profond m�contentement.
