Cuantificación de las pérdidas inesperadas ocasionadas por la delincuencia en Ecuador

Abstract

La presente investigación estudia el impacto económico un conjunto de delitos tipificados en Ecuador como: robo total de vehículo, robo accesorios de vehículos, robo de vivienda, robo a personas, estafa, intimidación o amenaza y heridas. Para cuantificar el costo económica que representa para la sociedad la actividad delictiva desarrollamos un modelo que estima las pérdidas esperadas y las inesperadas, utilizando la metodología Loss Distrbution Aprroach (LDA). En este trabajo, empleamos los datos de la Encuesta de Victimización y Percepción de Inseguridad 2011, realizada por el Instituto Nacional de Estadísticas y Censos (INEC), y los registros administrativos provenientes de la Dirección General de Operaciones de la Policía Nacional.
