Abstract

Le Macaron French Pastries is based in Sarasota, Florida. Its central commissary specializes in baking macarons, a small, French-style pastry. It has more than 60 retail franchises throughout the United States, which order in large lots from the commissary. We developed a low-cost, user-friendly, and creative solution for the franchises to easily improve their orders to minimize costs and maintain product freshness. Implemented benefits include an 80% improvement in inventory at time of order, a 75% reduction in the number of orders, and an improvement in product freshness.
