Abstract

A CEO must structure the organization so that it can deal with the problems it faces. The CEO must be deeply involved in the process of strategic planning and must become aware of the problems the organization may face in the future. Most organizations that get into trouble do so because they do not foresee changes in society or are unable to restructure in time to meet the problems they do foresee. In restructuring, the CEO must be aware that the organization is a system and that changes in one part will affect others.
