A Cost Minimization Model for Warehouse Distribution Systems

Abstract

This paper presents a model for determining a low cost and high service capacity warehouse distribution system for consumer products, using a heuristic programming model which provides a very good solution to the distribution problem. The model treats a number of aspects of reality which are ignored in simpler models.
