PO Attainment for Accreditation of UG Engineering Program of Tier-II Institutions: A Case Study

Abstract

The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) is the major accrediting body in India. The main aim of the NBA is to ensure and raise the quality of teaching and learning provided in institutions. NBA is concerned only for the technical education-providing institution. It deals with promotion and retains the quality of technical education as per the internationally recognized standards. Attainment of program outcomes (PO’s) is the major criteria for accreditation. It deals with whether the students of a specific course attain the program to the predefined attainment level or not.
