Ekonomide Saat Kaç? Bileşik Göstergeler ve Ekonomi Saati Yaklaşımı

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye ekonomisi için oluşturulan eş zamanlı ve öncü gösterge endekslerinin, ekonomi saati yaklaşımı ile birleştirilmesi ve bu yöntemle iktisadi faaliyetin mevcut durumuna ve yakın gelecekte izleyebileceği olası seyre ilişkin bilgi çıkarılmasıdır. Endekslerin oluşturulmasında Ekonomik İşbirliği ve Kalkınma Örgütü (OECD) tarafından geliştirilen devresel analiz ve bileşik göstergeler sistemi takip edilmiştir. Oluşturulan eş zamanlı göstergeler endeksi referans seri olan sanayi üretim endeksi ile eş anlı hareket ederken, öncü göstergeler endeksi sanayi üretimindeki hareketleri yaklaşık olarak üç ay öncesinden göstermektedir. Piyasa oyuncuları ve karar alıcılar tarafından yakından takip edilen endekslerin kullanılabilirliğini artırmak amacıyla bu çalışmada ekonomi saati yaklaşımından yararlanılmıştır. Her iki endeks için oluşturulan ekonomi saati iktisadi faaliyetin mevcut dönem ve yakın gelecek gelişmeleri hakkında daha kolay yorum yapmamıza olanak sağlamaktadır. Endekslerin son dönem gelişmeleri 2012 yılında iktisadi faaliyette ılımlı bir büyümeye işaret etmektedir.
