İMKB’de işlem gören otomotiv ve otomotiv yan sanayi işletmelerinin sermaye yapısı kararlarını etkileyen faktörler: Panel veri analizi

Abstract

İşletmelerin sermaye yapılarına etki eden faktörlerin incelendiği bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’de faaliyet gösteren ve hisse senetleri İMKB’de işlem gören 16 adet otomotiv ve otomotiv yan sanayi işletmesinin sermaye yapısı kararlarını etkileyen işletmeye özgü faktörleri tespit etmektir. Çalışmada işletmelerin sermaye yapısı kararlarının işletmeye özgü değişkenlerden ne şekilde etkilendiği araştırılmıştır. İMKB’nin resmi internet sitesinden elde edilen 12 aylık mali tablolar kullanılarak oluşturulan, işletmelerin 2003–2006 dönemlerine ait yatay kesit verileri panel veri yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonuçları otomotiv ve otomotiv yan sanayi işletmelerinin sermaye yapısı kararlarının en çok özsermaye karlılığı ve borç dışı vergi kalkanı değişkenlerinden etkilendiğini göstermiştir. Bu sonucun literatürde yer alan ve işletmelerin karlılıkları arttıkça iç finansmana yöneleceklerinden dolayı borç oranlarının azalacağını savunan finansman hiyerarşisi kuramını desteklediği belirlenmiştir.
