Birleşmeler, birleşmelerin nedenleri ve uluslararası boyutu

  • Sevilay SARICA

    (Hacettepe Üniversitesi)

Bu çalışmada, firma birleşmelerinin nedenleri ele alınarak uluslararası boyutta firma birleşmelerinin arkasında yatan unsurlar açıklanmaktadır. Firmalar monopolcü güç elde etmek, verimlilik kazanımları sağlamak, imparatorluk kurmak, fazla fonları kullanmak, piyasada firmanın saygınlığını artırmak, hisse senetlerinin değerini artırmak ve yeni coğrafyalara girerek rekabet üstünlüğü elde etmek nedenleri ile birleşmeye gitmektedirler. Özellikle 1990’lı yıllarda uluslararası birleşmeler artış göstermektedir. Uluslararası birleşmelerin arkasında yatan nedenler ele alındığında verimlilik kazanımları sağlama nedeni ile yeni coğrafyalara girerek rekabet üstünlüğü elde etme nedeninin ön plana çıktığı görülmektedir.
