Dışa Açılma Ve Para Politikasının Döviz Kuru Üzerindeki Etkileri: Bir Uygulama

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, para politikasının döviz kuru üzerindeki etkisinin ekonominin dışa açıklık derecesine bağımlı olup olmadığı incelenmiştir. Teorik olarak, döviz kurunu etkilemede, para politikası üzerinde açıklık belirsiz bir etkiye sahiptir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, açıklık tarafından etkilenen döviz kuru ve para politikası arasında nasıl bir ilişki olduğunu araştırmak ve teorik belirsizliğe bir nebze ışık tutmaktır. Bu çerçevede, 1988-2000 arası 35 ülkeye ait birleştirilmiş veriler kullanılarak yapılan analizlerden elde edilen bulgular, döviz kuru üzerinde para politikasının etkisinin ekonominin açıklığı tarafından negatif etkilendiğini göstermektedir. Üstelik sonuçlar, dışa daha açık olan ekonomilerde, para arzının büyüme oranında meydana gelen artışların yerli paranın değerini düşürücü etkisinin daha küçük olduğuna işaret etmektedir.
