Değişen Dünya Koşullarında Türkiye''de Tekstil Ve Hazır Giyim Sektörünün Geleceği

Abstract

Dünya Ticaret Örgütü üyeleri arasında gerçekleştirilen Uruguay görüşmelerine göre, tekstil ve giyim sanayilerindeki bütün kotaların 1 Ocak 2005’te kalkacak olması, Türkiye’nin tekstil ve giyim sektöründe rekabet gücünü nasıl sürdürebileceği konusunu gündeme getirmiştir. Türkiye’nin sanayileşmesinde ve dışa açılmasında önemli görevler üstlenen tekstil ve hazır giyim sanayiinin, küreselleşen dünyada görevini başarıyla sürdürmesi, ülkenin refahını artırmak açısından son derece önemli bir role sahiptir. Çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye için önemli bir sektör olan tekstil ve giyim sektörünün kotaların kaldırılmasından ne şekilde etkileneceğinin araştırılmasıdır. Türkiye’nin bu sektörde sürdürülebilir rekabet gücü kazanabilmesi için, teknolojik gelişmeye, AR-GE’ ye önem vermesi ve verimlilik artışı sağlaması gerekmektedir. Bu alanda rekabet gücünün sağlanabilmesi açısından, devlet desteği de önümüzdeki yıllarda önem kazanacaktır. Ayrıca Türkiye’de sektör ve pazar açısından yoğunlaşmanın olması da rekabet gücü açısından önemli bir risk unsudur.
