Sermaye Piyasasında Yatırımcı Eğitiminin Önemi

Abstract

Bu araştırma, yatırımcıların sermaye piyasası düzenlemeleri ve uygulamaları hakkındaki bilgi ihtiyaçlarını ve bilgi edinmede karşılaştıkları güçlükleri tespit etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmada ilişkisel tarama modeli uygulanmış ve bilgi toplama aracı olarak anket kullanılmıştır. Ankete katılım, İMKB, Takasbank, MKK, TSPAKB, BORYAD ve aracı kuruluşlardan kendi web sitelerinde SPK internet sitesindeki ankete konulan link aracılığıyla veya kayıtlardan telefonları rasgele seçilen yatırımcılara ulaşarak sağlanmıştır. Mayıs-Temmuz 2003 tarihleri arasında 66 ilden ve yurt dışından Sermaye Piyasası Kurulu web sitesine giren 1292 yatırımcı ankete cevap vermiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, ankete cevap veren katılımcıların halka açık şirketler ve hisse senetleri ile ilgili önemli bilgiler içeren izahname ve mali tablolar gibi önemli dokümanlara ulaşmakta ve bu dokümanları incelemekte zorluk çektikleri tespit edilmiştir. Bunun tek istisnası halka açık şirketlerin kamuyu aydınlatma çerçevesinde yaptıkları özel durumlar açıklamalarıdır. Ankete katılanların %85’i bu dokümanları incelediklerini bildirmişlerdir. Yapılan çalışma sonucunda bu güçlükleri ortadan kaldırabilecek öneriler geliştirilmiştir.
