Enflasyon, Döviz Kuru Belirsizliği Ve Dolarizasyon Arasındaki Nedensellik İlişkisi: Türkiye Örneği

Abstract

Türkiye’de enflasyon 1970’lerde yükselmeye başlamış ve 1980’lerde kronik hale gelmiştir. Türkiye içe-dönük (ithal ikameci) kalkınma stratejisinden dışa dönük (ihracata dayalı) kalkınma stratejisine geçtikten sonra, sermaye hareketlerinin liberalizasyonu ve finansal piyasaların serbestleştirilmesini kapsayan bir dizi reform yapmıştır. 1980’lerdeki bu reformlarla birlikte, enflasyon, döviz kuru değişim belirsizliği ve dolarizasyon arasındaki ilişki karmaşık bir yapıya dönüşmüştür. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’de 1987:01-2003:06 dönemlerinde enflasyon, döviz kuru değişim belirsizliği ve dolarizasyon arasında Granger nedensellik ilişkisi ampirik olarak araştırılmıştır. Döviz kuru değişim belirsizliğinin aylık zaman serisi GARCH modeli kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Granger nedensellik testleri, enflasyondan döviz kuru değişim belirsizliğine doğru ve döviz kuru değişim belirsizliğinden dolarizasyona doğru güçlü bir Granger nedensellik ilişkisi olduğunu göstermektedir.
