Şirketlerin Sermaye Artımları Uzun Dönemde Yatırımcısı İçin Yararlı mı?

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, İstanbul Menkul Kıymetler Borsası (İMKB)’nda kayıtlı finansal olmayan firmaların uzun dönemli hisse senedi performanslarını, sermaye artırımı nedeniyle yaptıkları dönemsel hisse senedi ihracı sonrası için incelemektir. Analiz, İMKB’de 1991-1996 yılları arasında yapılan 558 adet senet ihracına dayanmaktadır. Türk sermaye piyasasında dönemsel olan yeni senet ihraçları diğer ülkelere göre çok farklı şekillerde yapılmaktadır. Bu nedenle, sermaye artırımında bulunan firmaların uzun dönemli senet performanslarının incelemesini çeşitli kategorilere ayırarak gerçekleştirmekteyiz. Sonuçlar, bedelli ve bedelsiz senet ihraç eden firmaların üç yıla kadar piyasa karşısında düşük performansa sahip olduklarını göstermektedir. Fakat bedelsiz senet ihracı yapan firmaların performansları bedelli senet ihracı yapan firmalara göre istatiksel olarak daha iyidir.
