Doğu Anadolu bölge kalkınması ve turizm

Abstract

Son yıllarda turizm aktivitesindeki artışın sonucu, gelişmekte olan diğer ülkelerde olduğu gibi ülkemizde de turizmin bölgeler arası dengesizliği azaltmada iyi bir alternatif olabileceği düşüncesi yaygınlaşmaktadır. Turizm endüstrisinin ana hammaddesi olan doğa, iklim, tarih, folklor, uygarlık ve kültür değerleri ancak turizm sayesinde “ekonomik mal” niteliği taşımaktadır. Turizm sektöründe hizmet veren girişimciler olarak turizm işletmelerinin bölgenin çekicilik unsurlarını kullanıp, bölge kaynaklarının değerlendirilmesinde önemli katkıları olacaktır. Bu yaklaşımla turizm işletmelerinin Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi.nin doğal, tarihi ve sosyo-kültürel özelliklerini ne şekilde değerlendirdikleri araştırılmıştır. Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi’nde bulunan bütün illerde toplam 42 “Turistik Belgeli” işletmeden 23 işletmenin görüşlerini alarak sonuçları istatistiki olarak değerlendirdik. Alınan verilerler işletmelerin bölgenin özelliklerini iklimi, ulaşımı, diğer bölgelere nazaran turizm arz kaynaklar ının azlığı, devlet teşvik ve desteğinin yetersizliği ve özellikle son yıllarda terör nedeniyle olumsuz değerlendirdikleri; diğer taraftan bölgede henüz rasyonel çalışmanın gerektirdiği bilgi ve beceri alışkanlığına sahip işletmecilerin yeterince bulunmaması, iş yaşamında geleneksel yaşam tarzının ağır basması gibi nedenlerle bölgede turizm arz kaynaklarının değerlendirilemediği ve beklenilen düzeyde turizm pazarının yaratılmadığı düşünülmektedir.
