Abstract

Urbanization in China generates massive construction waste, causing environmental issues, while agriculture faces resource constraints. This study designs an Agricultural-Environmental Collaborative Information System for construction waste resource utilization. Using energy consumption measurement, cointegration, and error correction models, the authors analyze factors affecting construction waste energy consumption with 2014-2024 data. The system integrates Internet of Things, Geographic Information System, and resource-matching algorithms to allocate recycled construction waste to agricultural scenarios. Results show China's construction waste generation dropped to 3185 million tons in 2024. The system meets the roadbed reconstruction demand of 1.016 million hectares of agricultural land, reducing the agricultural irrigation water shortage by 1.246 billion cubic meters, accounting for 3.28% of the total irrigation water shortage in 2024. This interdisciplinary system enriches agricultural-environmental information system applications, promoting circular economy and sustainable development.
