Cloud computing industry: main trends and legal Approaches in European Union

Abstract

The undisputable advantages of cloud computing services –affordability, easy access to information, outsourced IT management, lower costs etc. –persuaded entrepreneurs in almost all fields of activity to choose cloud based solutions for their businesses. Currently it is widely accepted that the evolution of cloud computing industry and the innovations in this domain have a decisive impact not only on the development of ICT market but also on all other connected economic activities: financial and accounting services, human resources services, educational services and so forth. The main purpose of our research is to realize: (a) a synthesis of the main trends in cloud computing industry and cloud services market; (b) and a brief study of European legal approaches concerning intellectual property in software and cloud computing industry.
