Cybersecurity strategies of some geopolitical actors

Abstract

Information and communications technology has become the backbone of our economic growth and is a critical resource which all economic sectors rely on. The evolution and development of Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs), in particular the Internet, and their impact on daily basis activities of modern societies has brought many benefits but also major threats with serious cyber attacks, impose to governments in almost whole world to design their policy for securing cyberspace. This paper provides a theoretically informed understanding and critical assessment of the current EU cyber strategies and besides. As a research tool, I used content analysis and comparative analysis to identify the main elements underlying the cyber security strategies.
