Considerations on the use of mobile robots with interchangeable operational platform in emergency situations

Abstract

For maintaining and living and working conditions and to meet the aspirations of needs and a sustainable physical and social environment it is necessary to prevent, manage and mitigate the effects of emergencies. The effectiveness of prevention and emergency management is the measure of endowment with specialized intervention on risk types of emergency generators and personnel structures of prevention and intervention of professional services. In both fields the primary role plays the man who must travel on site, analyze, and make decisions of life and death for resolving emergency situations. Unfortunately no matter how well prepared it has its limits. A solution to this problem is the exploitation of intelligent interaction between human and robot average, families in developing specialized robots for prevention and intervention in emergencies caused by fires. This paper presents considerations on the use of mobile robots with interchangeable operational platforms in emergencies to save lives and property or to get a detailed view, human conveying data and information necessary to respond effectively and to meet the needs replacing human personnel to carry missions with high-risk environments difficult to control.
