Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present the implications of a recent European Commission decision to investigate the United Kingdom State aid scheme for taxing multinationals. The investigation comes amid slow negotiations on the UK exit from the European Union (EU),and the European Commission points out that as long as the United Kingdom is still a Member State,is continue to have all the rights and obligations of membership. The analysis is based on the synthesis of current tax regulations for businesses. At the end of the research we will draw some conclusions on the impact on the European Commission's state aid investigation into multinationals in the United Kingdom.
