Abstract

The article analyzes the fundamentals of the international wheat market as well as the evolution of quotations at the Chicago Stock Exchange in 2016. The research of the fundamental factors of the global wheat market is based on the latest statistical data published by the United States Department of Agriculture on: sown area, average crop yield, production, consumption, stocks and trade. The data are accompanied by an examination of the specific situation of each country, which has a significant global share within the analyzed indicator. The article also include a distinct subchapter on the short-term outlook of the key elements of the international wheat market.
