Abstract

Canada has recorded a relative regress in 2015, caused largely by lower oil prices and slowdown in USA’ GDP. However, the Canadian economy will show an upward trend in 2016, although it will face certain difficulties in this regard. Currently, the low price of crude oil, and the shock that was created on the market due to this fact, continues to put a negative mark on the economy. Compared to 2014, in 2015 the inflation rate and the unemployment rate will be decreasing. Regarding foreign trade, Canada is going to deal with the turbulence that is present in the global economy, latest forecasts presenting a decline in the trade surplus.
