Abstract

After displaying a record revival in 2010, which notably exceeded the initial forecasts of the national and international economic analysts and, in 2011, continued to maintain a sustained economic growth, yet subsequently, on the basis of the intensification of negative effects generated by the worsening of the sovereign debt crisis in the Eurozone and the external demand slowdown on the European Union in its entirety, in 2012 the Swedish economy, highly dependent on exports, became affected by the extremely fragile external climate, ÌŽgoing down" an obviously declining path. According to the same experts, even though for 2013 there are some positive signals that indicate a revival of the worldwide economic climate and, implicitly, of the international commercial exchanges, which will contribute to the acceleration of the productive activity re-launching process, however, the growth pace of Swedish economy will remain below potential. For 2014, the latest estimates of community experts signal a moderate growth in the rate of the GBT, mainly determined by internal demand.
