Abstract

The article presents the ferroalloys market’s development in 2011 and prospects for 2012. Dominated by China and other emerging economies from Asia, engaged in extensive programs for development and economic modernization, this market has known a favorable evolution in 2011. The development of steel industry in China show the continuing expansion of stainless steel production, this country becoming the biggest global ferroalloys producer. The prospects for 2012 are favorable according to the ThyssenKrupp Metallurgical Products group forecasts.
