Abstract

En este trabajo se analiza, en el contexto de un modelo NOEM, el papel de la estructura productiva de una pequeña economía abierta en los efectos de perturbaciones monetarias y de oferta. En particular, se enfatiza en la relevancia de la presencia de materias primas importadas y se obtiene que la misma constituye una fuente de volatilidad del tipo de cambio. Asimismo, se demuestra que dicha presencia aumenta el coste, en términos de inflación, de mantener el bienestar ante un shock de oferta adverso.
