Abstract

The study explores into the performance evaluation of a repairable hybrid parallel system incorporating warm standby units, utilising Markovian state-transition models to analyse system dynamics. By utilising this approach, the research focuses on three critical performance metrics: system availability, mean time to failure (MTTF), and overall profitability. The findings reveal that the proposed hybrid model significantly outperforms conventional approaches, offering superior reliability and economic efficiency, particularly when subjected to diverse failure and repair conditions. This advancement underscores the importance of incorporating robust and enhanced repair mechanisms in complex systems to optimise performance. Furthermore, the work demonstrates how effective system design can balance operational reliability with economic considerations, making it a valuable contribution to industries reliant on continuous operation and efficient resource utilisation.
