Abstract

Manufacturing sector in India is flourishing at a fast rate with emerging innovative engineering. This makes the market more competitive for firms that are especially indigenous. To survive in this era of globalisation core functional competencies play a healthy role from various aspects which directly or indirectly affect the performance of the organisations. This paper deals with modelling of core functional competencies. WarpPLS 7.0 has been used for structural equation modelling based on partial least square algorithm. Various parameters were calculated using a software to validate the factors related to model fitness. The results show that critical input factors that are concept (idea) competency, material (and equipment) related competency, production (and control) competency and technical competency have significant affect on performance of the firms and are fit for the model.
