Strategic framework for successful implementation of synergistic approach SCQM (TQM-SCM)

Abstract

Nowadays customers are very concerned about product and service quality, delivery and flexibility. Therefore, emphasis is given to improve the quality, flexibility and timely delivery of products through synergistic implementation of quality principles with supply chain management. However, the majority of the manufacturing firms hesitate to implement all parameters of TQM-SCM simultaneously because of some constraints. Therefore, the aim of this study is to purpose a phase wise approach to successfully implement TQM-SCM. For this, survey of 116 Indian manufacturing organisations has been carried out. Responses of this survey are utilised in identify various options, profiles and weights of multiple regression utilised in OFM, OPM, and FST. Afterwards, Academic experts and industry experts were consulted through specially drafted comparison scale questionnaire to obtain the weights of objectives with the help of AHP. Finally, results of this integrated OFM, OPM, AHP, FST are utilised to propose a strategic framework.
