Abstract

Community, academics, business leaders, and the government must work together to spend, come up with new ideas, set standards, and work towards a wide range of goals in reaction to the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4 IR) and demand. Collaboration in study and creation has been talked about for a long time in academia. Still, it is hard to implement this idea, especially in developing and poor countries. This article intends to discuss the guidelines to initiate research and innovation collaboration to explore the channels of research and innovation collaboration and its importance towards collaboration partners. This article employs a systematic literature review approach, utilising thematic analysis to uncover patterns and themes within the data gathered from prior literature reviews and books. This study provides explicit guidelines and phases for research and innovation collaboration while also identifying formal and informal collaboration channels and characteristics affecting channel selection.
