Abstract

Social networking sites (SNS) can make a significant contribution to organisational communications and business profitability. However, to date, very little attention has been given to the impact on an organisation's managerial behaviour by the use of SNS. In this study, correspondence analysis theory (CA) is applied to investigate how managers adopt SNS to enhance their organisational management performance. Using a sample of 173 managers from hotels in Vietnam, the study identifies how middle and divisional managers are enhancing their organisational cooperation capability through the active use of SNS. However, evidence is also found of SNS having a negative effect on job satisfaction. The findings have implications for the use of SNSs to manage organisational management performance.
