Process planning in mass production

Abstract

In the practical production of identical products in large quantities, we can reduce production costs with the proper selection of manufacturing technology and machining conditions. Some improvements in producing a real product from a hand tool factory are presented. Significant results were achieved by introducing near-net-shape technology. In addition to that, an analysis was made to confirm the necessity of studying the machining operations in the direction of using modern tools and supporting the process planning with real data-tool base.
