Abstract

The importance of the solar water pumping system cannot be overstated, as it is employed in both the home and industrial setting. This study provides an overview of the solar water pumping system's performance and its components. The system consists of four major components: solar panel, inverter, pumping machine and tank. A partial or complete failure of the system is possible, if the system has partial failure, it is fixed by using general repair techniques and complete failure is mended by using copula repair techniques. The system is investigated using the supplementary variable techniques and the Laplace transformation to obtain explicit expressions for availability, reliability, mean time to failure (MTTF), sensitivity, and expected profit functions, all of which are numerically validated. The numerical results are presented in tables and graphs. On the basis of numerical results, the conclusions were drawn. The findings of this study will aid maintenance managers in determining the appropriate time and technique for a system's maintenance.
