Abstract

Human capital is becoming more important than economic capital in today's knowledge society. Presented in this study is a financial yardstick for measuring management capital efficiency and human value added, as well as its practical implementation on a research sample of 154 managers in Slovene small and medium enterprises. This study suggests that Slovene managers are not prone to risk taking and dealing with unknowns; moreover, they are neither sufficiently flexible nor intuitive. Study provides a framework for investigation of the role and value add of management.
