From disruption to recovery: strategies for resilient and adaptable supply chains

Abstract

This study assesses sustainable, integrative, adaptable, and risk-averse strategies crucial for improving resilience in supply chains and alleviating disruptions. This research, through a systematic literature assessment of 124 peer-reviewed articles, identified collaboration, adaptability, and risk management as the fundamental aims of effective resilience measures. Research indicates that prompt information sharing and cooperative problem-solving improve supply chain flexibility, whereas risk management tactics alleviate threats and guarantee strong performance under fluctuating conditions. These integrated techniques facilitate company continuity and expedite recovery from disruptions. This study enhances the literature by integrating practical and theoretical frameworks of resilience, providing actionable insights and recommendations for creating supply chains capable of enduring abrupt and extended crises. This work is a significant resource for companies and scholars seeking to develop more flexible and crisis-prepared supply networks.
