Abstract

It is the policy of Inderscience Publishers to retract from publication any paper if, subsequent to publication, it becomes a matter of dispute regarding intellectual property, publishing ethics or legal issues. Each case is judged according to individual circumstances. In this case, the authors' (Sachin Kumar Verma, Mohd. Rizwanullah and Charman Singh) work, 'Optimal ordering policy for deteriorating items with stock dependent demand, partial backlogging and trade credit period', published in IJLSM V40 N1 2021, has substantial similarities to a paper with the same title, by the same authors, published in IJLSM V44 N4 2023. This has occurred as a result of an inadvertent error by the first author. Consequently the second paper has been retracted.
