Comparing the development of Turkey and Poland as potential logistics hubs in context of international logistics

Abstract

By the reasons of the new plans to reinvigorate the trade route between Asia and Europe, the countries Turkey and Poland may become important international hubs of logistics. Thanks to the unique location of the countries and potential to economic development they create a pair of alternatives for investors willing to interconnect Asia and Europe. The comparison of the development in logistic performance allowed to stress the differences in the development of both regions. The analysis of logistics infrastructure indicates directions and possible development in the future. The aim of this paper is to compare current developments of both countries in terms of logistics performance. As data suggest the position of the countries is similar and promising. That allows forming a positive influence on future development of business especially focused on international logistics.
