Abstract

This research examines the gap between the importance and the implementation of Knowledge Management (KM) critical success factors among the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia. Based on the data obtained from 282 owners/key managers, factor analysis confirmed that all the factors are in conformity to the literature. Paired t-test results revealed that there are significant differences between all the factors perceived as important and their levels of implementation. The findings offer useful information to the ICT SMEs in understanding their current stage of KM implementation and how their KM practices can be improved for business success.
