Abstract

In this study, an investigation of the sustainability objectives related to the Indian scenario is presented. Identification of sustainable objectives helps the Indian industries for setting up long-term goals and sustainably manages their resources and responsibilities. In this study, firstly, identification of sustainability objectives was carried out with the help of a literature survey, and relationships among them were established through expert opinion for Indian industries. Further, the relationships of the sustainability objectives were transformed using interpretive structural modelling. The developed ISM model has been validated with the help of the structural equation modelling technique. This study reveals that competitive advantage has the topmost priority of the organisation. For gaining a competitive advantage, enhanced customer services and international business certification play a vital role. In this study, it is identified that removing stakeholder pressure on organisations plays an important role in obtaining a competitive advantage.
