Abstract

The New Zealand Merino Company Ltd. (TNZMC) is the strategic centre of a network that produces, markets and sells almost all New Zealand merino wool to exclusive national and international markets. Over the last decade, successive New Zealand merino marketing organisations have moved the New Zealand merino wool sector from a production to a marketing orientation, aligning the wool supply chain and replacing previously adversarial relationships with cooperation, coordination, transparency and joint activity.
