Abstract

This paper investigates the role of communication within network constellations in entrepreneurship research. To become and remain successful in increasingly turbulent times, SMEs and entrepreneurs need to obtain certain success factors. One of these might be the entrepreneur's communication competences within the networks he operates in. This paper, therefore, investigates on a conceptual-theoretical basis the key success conditions of the success factor networking on the basis of social capital theory. As a result, this paper works out a theoretical model consisting of the optimal steps of the interaction and network management for entrepreneurs and draws possible interaction scenarios.
