Abstract

The strategic decision support needs to exploit the information emanating from the company environment, that we also call external information. This is the workhorse of economic intelligence (EI). Our research work aims to produce an approach for identifying useful information for decision-maker who is often confronted with decisional situations on strategic level. The target of this paper is to show how the risks management contributes to acquisition of useful information for the strategic decision-making. This approach relies on a process by using four models (the model of strategic objectives, the model of the tree of strategic objectives, the model of useful information and model of risks). It also proposes a language of analysis and decomposition of strategic objectives. To evaluate our approach, we present a case study about the process of response to call for tender (RCT). This case study consists in identifying and specifying the useful information asked for in the process RCT.
