Abstract

Strategic information system sophistication has been regarded as a critical organisational management issue. It has been considered by many researchers as a crucial organisational resource for achieving multiple strategic performances. However, studies of such have been given less attention within the context of the Islamic banking industry. Therefore, this paper highlights the issue through a systematic review of previous literature on the subject matter. Thus, the study found a significant relationship between sophisticated strategic information systems and strategic performances and hence recommends its relevance in achieving strategic performances within the context of the Malaysian Islamic banking industry.
