Abstract

The study reported in this paper is related to an empirical study carried on IT and ITES firms in India. The data used in the study was collected from the database of Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE). The data collected was subjected to a series of analysis to get a better insight about the performance of these companies. The major objective of the study was to find whether there are differences among the performances of the firms located at different regions of the country. The analyses carried out and the results obtained revealed that the performance of the ITES firms located at different regions exhibit considerable zone specific variations. The details of the data collected, the analyses carried out, the results obtained and the inferences made are presented in this paper.
