Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the degree of adoption of the concepts of Systems Thinking in private universities in Jordan, from the perspective of heads of administrative and academic departments in these universities, utilising a questionnaire, prepared by the researcher; to answer the main question of this research. The universities are dealt with as living bodies, and concepts adopted are meant to reflect practices of universities in this very context. The study population consisted of eight Jordanian private universities. A total of 64 heads of academic sections, and 40 heads of administrative departments were chosen to form a purposive sample to address the main question of this research paper. The main results of this research have shown that both the heads of academic sections and administrative sections believed that the degree of adoption of these concepts was medium.
