Abstract

The present study presents an experimental analysis of the quality of working life (QWL) in the banking sector, which was implemented in a municipality of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A hybrid QWL evaluation model was used based on existing models and studies in the literature, incorporating current characteristics of the banking industry. The data analysis indicated that the model was valid and reliable. Cronbach's α was used to measure the model reliability; quartile analysis was used to determine the most critical issues; and the distribution frequency was used to describe the respondents' profiles.
