Abstract

This paper emphasises three important aspects, i.e., first is the risk perception of Indian women towards mutual funds investment decisions, second is to identify the factors which are affecting risk perception and third is to find out the significance of these factors on the overall risk perception and investment decision of Indian women. Primary data has been collected through a questionnaire. Various statistical tools like descriptive analysis, reliability tests, exploratory factor analysis, and regression analysis have been used to analyse the collected data. The empirical analysis depicted the fact that Indian women are having a moderate level of risk perception in taking mutual fund investment decisions. This paper contributes to the literature by examining the factors of risk perception impacting investment decisions and finding the three vital factors responsible for that, i.e., lack of knowledge, lack of confidence, and dearth of security.
