Ecotourism in India: social trends and pathways on sustainable tourism and eco-travelling

Abstract

India is a developing country and has remarkable growth in various sectors including nature-based tourism as the government is working a lot on eco-tourism activities. Based on various current researches, there is both qualitative and quantitative analysis which is based on various ideas and reviews of various eco-tourists in India which has the main idea to identify the research gap and also to discuss various reasons to implement ecotourism in India. By past trends, it is found out that by research we can analyse both positive and negative aspects of mass tourism which also results in its impact on all the areas and has come out as a highlighted research area that needs to be looked upon. We have tried to find out the research gap in the basic principles of eco-tourism and encouraged suggestions, recommendations, and limitations in this area of work.
