Regional trade and economic integration has affected the firm level decision making in assessing the destination for investment. In this paper, the focus is to assess the probable impacts of the BIMSTEC on the export performance of Indian firms. While doing so, it has been explored that a lot of other factors also facilitate the exports which are also being considered. The paper considers the study of those Indian firms who exports in the member economies of the BIMSTEC. The study evaluates such major macro parameters firms consider crucial while improving their exports. The empirical study carried out for the Indian firms provide interesting insights and relates to designing successful marketing strategies for improving the export performance of Indian firms expanding their markets in the region.
